Mamba / Boomslang Head Shape Comparisons
Green mambas DO NOT occur in Eswatini.
The large green snake in Eswatini is the Boomslang/Indlondlo. When identifying a snake one needs to look at more than just colour. We also use distribution, shape of the head, scales, scale count, shape of the eye, belly scales etc.
These east illustrations can be used to differentiate between the 3 species.
